Meet Holly Kondreska – Owner & Instructor, Superior Edge Rescue

Originally from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and proudly calling Thunder Bay home, Holly Kondreska brings a lifetime of adventure and over 20 years of emergency response experience to Superior Edge Rescue. An avid outdoorswoman whose pursuits include extended paddling, hiking, SCUBA diving, and the occasional tree climb, she understands firsthand what it takes to explore the backcountry safely.

As an Indigenous-owned business, Superior Edge Rescue offers premier, private WMA International-certified wilderness first aid courses. Holly’s professional background is unmatched: she spent fifteen years working as a primary care paramedic, completed international medical relief work in Honduras, trained with Global Medics in Toronto, and volunteered extensively with Red Cross Disaster Response. Locally, she continued to serve her community as a volunteer First Responder with East Gorham Ware (Ontario). Holly’s teaching background is as vast as her field experience, having instructed students all over Canada and the USA—including the Northwest Territories. From university and college-level students and government employees to high school outdoor education programs and kids’ camps in Algonquin Park, she tailors her expert instruction to all levels.

When she isn’t teaching or adventuring, Holly is a proud single mom to an amazing son, and they have happily embraced tiny house living for over seven years. Holly is thrilled to relaunch Superior Edge Rescue, channeling her diverse, expert-level background into dynamic, practical training that empowers others for the wild.
